I believe these potential magnesium treatments should be rigorously researched. The key factor involving these treatments is the simple fact that you are treating patients with nothing more than magnesium. This will lead to little or no adverse effects that seem to plague most pharmacological therapies. Without the risk of unwarranted side effects, the question to treat or not is thrown out the window. Numerous disease states could benefit if this is researched further. I gave a presentation on Tourette's and found that clinical trials testing magnesium and B-vitamin treatments are showing promise in adolescents with onset of Tourette's and other tic disorders as well.
