The top story on the Boston Healing
Blog highlights Natural Standard
as a premier resource for evidence-based information about integrative
medicine.
Complementary and alternative
medicine (CAM) continues to gain popularity in the United States. In 2007,
Americans spent nearly $34 billion out of pocket on CAM, according to the
National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). However, without reliable sources of information,
individuals may find it difficult to determine which therapies are safe and
effective. Natural Standard
Research Collaboration rigorously reviews scientific data to provide objective
information about therapies, thereby helping people make more informed and
safer therapeutic decisions.

What a wonderful relationship Natural Standard has developed with its friend and neighbor Massage Therapy Works. It appears that both companies are able to benefit from this close association. Together, they embrace the idea of fully integrating complementary and alternative medicine into the current healthcare system and both are dedicated to implementing this idea into real life. Also, is there a better way to accomplish something than to have like-minded friends on your side?

Thanks for the heads-up about the Boston Healing Blog. I enjoyed learning more about Dr. Ulbricht’s background and the founding of Natural Standard. Also, I looked at the services at Massage Therapy Works, Inc., and it looks like a great facility.

This was a really great article. I've been a Natural Standard subscriber for some time now, and it was really interesting to read about the mission of the company and why it was founded in the first place. I find the company's ideals to be very admirable, particularly when most other Web sites post misleading or inaccurate information about alternative therapies.

Massage Therapy Works was a really great place for a site visit. Richard was an excellent, knowledgeable and friendly therapist. He even gave the students free 10-minute massage samples based on their individual needs. The massage felt so good, I have to say I would definitely go back again once I get out of my student status :)
