It is too late for me to buy the 22nd edition of this book on a discounted price. This book is an excellent source of information for a pharmacy student especially the chapter on the Natural Products which focus on the popular herbs used in US with the best supporting evidence available.

Students and practicing pharmacists can benefit from having Remington’s as it is a great reference book. This was the text that a pharmacy librarian recommended to me because it is well established and covers a variety of topics. I had the opportunity to skim the chapter on complementary and alternative medicine. This chapter provides a good overview of CAM and discusses some key CAM therapies, information that is useful for practitioners from many fields.

I’m so glad that I heard about this deal before the end of the month! With more and more individuals seeking alternative therapies, it is increasingly more important to stay up to date on this information. Remington is a great resource and by incorporating a chapter on CAM it really helps to make this book a more complete resource. This book seems to be a wonderful resource, which I would love to have on hand after graduation!

The school that I attend doesn't push much for Remington. We use mostly Dipiros, which usually has a small "alternative non pharm" treatment section for each disease state. I will have to check out Remington, it is great that CAM is being accepted and integrated.

As one of the leading references in pharmacy studies and practice it is great the CAM therapies are being included. Not only will that provide more information to the pharmacists already practicing but it encourages CAM to be more of an integral part in pharmacy students education. I can't wait to check out the chapter!

This is great that CAM is being incorporated in more high impact sources. Natural Standard is heaviily influencing health care providers in becoming more knowledgable regarding complimentary alternative therapies. Information however is expanding at an ever increasing rate, and it would be nice to have an ebook version that updates periodically with the option to pay for the upgraded version similar to an operating system.

As a pharmacy student, I have used Remington books. They provide great knowledge on the subject of pharmacy, and with a new section on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), done by Natural Standards, it will provide even more knowledge in a field that is not well understood by most students and practitioners. As a student on rotations, I have completed an internal medicine rotation, and everyday on rounds one of our jobs would be to collect new patient drug information. Almost, every patient was on some sort of herbal medication, to treat a disease from BPH, to hot flashes, etc. Having a book like Remington's esp with a CAM section done by Natural Standards is a great resource to help guide therapy in these patients taking non-traditional medication.

This is a great opportunity to have access to some of the most credible information in the medical world. It's great to see that this text is evolving with healthcare. The social context surrounding medicine and the actual medicines themselves are constantly changing. Natural Standard plays an important role in this transition, as more people turn to alternative therapies. Might as well subscribe to the best!

When I hear the name Remington, I automatically think - pharmacy school. This very heavy book gets kind of pricy for students, but the early bird 25% discount is a steal! I should let my fellow colleagues and classmates know about this. The deal is even better because it contains a chapter on Complementary and Alternative Medicine, which not many other pharmacy books do.

I know that Remington has been one of the core textbooks for Pharmacy Practice and did not realize that CAM information was lacking in it up until now...It's a good thing that the new edition includes a CAM chapter! Can't wait to see it.
