This is a great tool for those in need to find specialty recipes or those on particular diets. I have helped others find and enjoy recipes due to NS. Its a great benefit to everyone!

Over the past 5 weeks or so I have been trying some of the recipes on the blog but haven't actually looked at the link on the site. So the other day I decided to check it out. I was amazed at all of the different recipes, what a great idea for this site. It definitely makes all the sense in the world. With all of the bad things people eat it's great to have something like this. I will definitely spread the word.

This is a great feature to have on Natural Standards database! The filters in the site allow people to choose recipes that are specifically tailored to their needs whether it is to avoid a food allergy, to limit prep time, meet specific nutritional goals, etc. After working all day it’s so difficult to stay motivated to come home and cook a nutritious meal but with this database you can find quick and easy recipes for healthy meals. I never knew that this existed but I can’t wait to use it!

This is a really outstanding tool that offers alternatives within a healthy lifestyle. As an example, I love asparagus and it is a low carbohydrate food, well under 10 grams of carbs roasted. Having the opportunity to look at ways to "Dress Up' the asparagus without greatly expanding the number of carbohydrates is great. Looking at alternatives, such as asparagus with raspberry sauce added and keeping the carbohydrate number below 20, yet offering an opportunity to add a new look to a food that I absolutely enjoy eating, as well as making the choice more appealing to family as well is a real win-win.

I think this is a really cool feature of the Natural Standard website. When you go to the recipe tool, there are 16 different fields you can use to build the ultimate health food! A great way to integrate the nutritional AND medicinal into anyone's specific taste or lifestyle preference!

Natural Standard’s database and available tools are fantastic. I was very excited to read about this recipe database search tool. I am not sure of any other health related databases that provide such a great opportunity to consumers and the public. I looked through the different recipes available and I am looking forward to trying them out someday. This is definitely a helpful tool to provide to future patients especially those having a hard time with dietary changes or modifications.

This is a wonderful idea to have healthy recipes! Studying and hearing information about herbal and other edible CAM products, I always wonder what in the world can you do with these "leaves" and "flowers"? To know that NS has recipes is a great! Something I will definitely keep in mind for the future when I start working with patients.

What a great idea! To have recipes on a CAM related website is perfect. The whole approach of holistic medicine makes complete sense. As a health care practitioner, I counsel diabetics on diet and nutrition, and likewise the DASH diet on hypertensive patients. Cardiology patients get info on the heart healthy diet. One can not ignore that food and diet is an integral part of the whole health.

Kudos to Natural Standards for taking this perspective!

This is such a great database for searching for new and exciting recipes! The cuisine function is also one of my favorites, as well as the ability to update the servings. I always cook extras when I'm cooking for my husband and I, so we have leftovers to bring to work for lunch. It's great to be able to do this and know that the recipes are healthy! Thanks for this incredibly useful feature!

Yesterday I got to try one of the recipes from the Indian cuisine section. I love home made pizza but always find it to be so time consuming to make, especially if you make it from scratch. The mango chutney pizza was so convenient to make and the paneer cheese is simply delicious. It was great that I didn’t have to make the dough, just buy some naan! The directions were easy to follow and the preparation/cook times were accurate.

I am so happy that the new database is so much easier to use now. I can very quickly filter off the kind of food with ingredients that my kids are allergic to, and narrow down to what I can easily managed with. A very good improvement to the search interface. Look forward to more improvements in the future!!

I love the new filters. It's just my husband and I at home, and we fight over who DOESN'T eat the leftovers; it's nice to be able to cook a nice recipe for two without needing to 'halve' everything (I know--somewhat lazy but you only forget to halve, say, baking powder once. Yuck!). Also the total time filter is great because I enjoy cooking but with my busy schedule I have to cook fast. And then, there's the fact that my husband won't eat anything white (unselect mayo, sour cream, yogurt...).

I just discovered this feature recently and I am loving it! My favorite part is the "cuisine" feature. There are so many different ethic foods to choose from and the nutrition information is also provided. How convenient is that! I love Indian and Thai food so I will be working my way down the list of foods to make, starting with "Poories."

This is such a fun new feature! My husband is a very picky eater, so it is very helpful to be able to exclude the foods he won't eat. Thanks for making the recipe database easier to use!

I am so happy to see this feature available! Natural Standard really has done a great job developing the recipe database, and this addition is no exception. It makes it so much easier to search for recipes based on my needs for the day! Thanks for adding this feature!

This is designed so well! I had to try it out, and since I'm not much of a cook, I searched for an 'easy' 'slow cooker' meal - not sure about the meal, but one of the first things that came up was a recipe for Apple Butter! Mmmm, healthy and delicious! Then if I look for quick baked meals, there are so many great choices! I will definitely be using this!

What a great feature. It can be so difficult to find healthy recipes. I like the exclusion feature, so I can exclude ingredients my fussy child won't eat. I have marked this as a favourite on my computer.

This is really nice - Natural Standard has got this one right! Not only can you select your recipe by lots of useful metrics like time to prep and difficulty level, but you can also exclude recipes based on ingredients(for people who have allergies, ect) and limit to recipes based on ingredients (so you can use up those extra items in the fridge that are about to go bad). They also have filters for diet types such as diabetes meal plans, heart healthy, and high fiber! Nice!

This is a great new feature! The recipe database has always been a favorite of mine and now it is even easier to use and search. If I am in a hurry I can find something based on cook time or I can even search based on a type of food I am in the mood for. I can't wait to try even more of the delicious healthy recipes.

I am so incredibly excited about this! I took a quick look and the recipes look quite simple and are so healthy. I really love the "difficulty" feature too since I am not a very talented cook. Great job, Natural Standard!
